Command Tip of the Week-Survivability Profile

The discussion is on a survivability profile as it relates to a secondary size up for an incident, and why this information is important to first arriving companies.
There are four components that should be evaluated for survivability profile. They are: occupants, firefighters/responders, the fire involved structure, and exposures. When evaluating life safety issues, use three descriptors: survival likely, survival marginal and survival unlikely.
